Special Educational Needs and Disabilities - SEND
At BESA, our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Department is comprised of a dedicated and highly qualified team of professionals who are committed to providing tailored support to our students. We understand that every child is unique, and our SEND team is here to ensure that all students receive the appropriate assistance to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Through comprehensive and robust processes, our SEND team actively monitors the progress of students who may require additional or differentiated support compared to their peers. We utilise a collaborative approach, engaging with teachers, parents, and specialists to identify individual needs and implement effective interventions. Our team conducts thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalised learning plans that cater to each student's specific requirements.
In addition to supporting students with learning difficulties, the SEND Department also focusses on our English as a Foreign Language (EFL) cohort. We recognise that language acquisition can be a significant barrier for some students, and our experienced staff work diligently to provide the necessary language support and resources. This includes tailored language instruction, social integration activities, and cultural enrichment programs, helping our EFL students build confidence and succeed in an English-speaking academic environment.
Moreover, our SEND team is committed to nurturing the potential of our More Able students. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to excel, and we provide specialised programs and enrichment activities designed to challenge and inspire those who show exceptional abilities. Our educators collaborate closely with these students to set ambitious goals, facilitate advanced learning experiences, and create pathways for further achievement.
At BESA, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported, regardless of their unique challenges or strengths.
